Nancy K. Turrell has served as executive director for MartinArts since 1999 and in that role has overseen a wide variety of projects that benefit the arts community, including creating a women’s giving circle for the arts, launching an innovative ecoart apprenticeship program, and implementing economic impact studies. Turrell was appointed by Senator Negron to serve as a member of the Florida Council on Arts and Culture from 2018-2020. She is an active alumnus of the LEADERship Martin County program and coordinates the History, Arts & Culture Day annually. Turrell holds a master’s degree in Philanthropy and Development from St Mary’s University, Winona Minnesota and a bachelor’s in marketing from New York University. She is originally from upstate New York, but has lived in Stuart since 1990.
